This just in: HLN + Thrashers=EPIC FAIL!

Ok folks! This is disturbing. And dumb. So dumb. More dumb than disturbing.
I HATE CNN and now, I have a whole new reason to hate CNN's Headline News (or HLN)!
HLN's Richelle Carey really got under my skin with her touchy feely interview with a few select members of the Atlanta Thrashers last week. Her show is called "What Matters" and here's the scoop: The basis for her "interview" was that there are not many hockey teams that have players of "African decent" (really?). The current number quoted by HLN was 20 percent total--4 of which play for the Atlanta Thrashers: Johnny Oduya, Anthony StewartNigel Dawes and Dustin Byfuglien . Carey tried desperately to pull sob/sad stories out of these gentlemen clearly twisted toward race. For a weak moment, I felt sorry for Carey as she interviewed the group asking each if they had felt that because they were black, they must have been coerced by family members and friends to play a sport other than hockey. Many times she mentioned "Why not basketball?" to these men with pity on her face.
What really got to me was at one point during the this bomb of a discussion she asked with puppy dog eyes, "Have you heard anyone say anything to you in a derogatory manner?" All of the men shook their heads and finally one noting the sound of crickets said, "No, this is 2011, I believe people are more accepting. I haven't had any problems." The other men all nodded. "So you haven't heard anything?" (chirp, chirp, ummm . . . no?) Carey asked desperately trying to pull something racist out of one of them. Finally, the men felt the interview going nowhere as anyone with a brain stem would have, so one tried to save little Carey by piping up, "I did  hear someone once say 'Break his legs!'" Carey looked down and slowly shook her head. I almost went through the television! THEY SAY THAT TO EVERYBODY! IT'S F'CKIN HOCKEY!!!! Where's Carey's balls? Was there a point to this interview? UGH! PITIFUL!
I'm out!
Loving y'all the most!
